Cam Studio Review

CamStudio is a simple, straightforward program to record screen activity to AVI or SWF format. You can also record audio from your speakers or microphone, although I did not test this feature. Screen annotations allow you to add custom text captions and callouts to your movies. These annotations must be saved as a layout prior to recording and can be called up with a hotkey during the recording process. CamStudio does not offer editing capabilities, so your movie and annotations must be carefully planned before you begin recording. AVI movies can be quite large, but by converting them to Flash format the file size is reduced considerably. The conversion process is somewhat slow, but generally worthwhile for the size reduction.

Dominating Video Marketing

Video marketing is the next big thing online. It is underused by many marketers and fantastically profitable for those that do use it.

Many marketers don’t use video marketing simply because they don’t know how to get started on it. It isn’t actually that difficult and you will find it remarkably easy when you do use it.

Videos can very easily go viral and you will find yourself getting a lot of traffic from them. Plus, the search engines love video because it is very popular at the moment. You can often see a selection of videos in the top five ranking for any search term in Google.

Creating the videos doesn’t have to be difficult. You can create a live action video using your mobile phone or digital camera, or if you live in the dark ages, a webcam.

Using a tool such as Camtastia or Camstudio you can capture the screen and demonstrate some software or a website. These are very effective videos because people can see what they are buying or what they need to do.

Promotional videos can be created by Windows Movie Maker, which is installed on most Windows XP and above computers or on a website such as Jing or Animoto. These websites create some fantastic videos which you can use as adverts.

Your video needs to be concise, to the point and entertaining. You want your viewers to see your video and be captured and want to know more.

Before you start submitting your video, you need to know which keywords to use as tags. This means doing some keyword research. The Google External Keyword Tool will tell you everything you need to know, or you can use your own favorite tool.

You could manually submit your video to various video directories, but this takes a lot of time. You could outsource it, which will get expensive, or you could use a tool to do it. Alternatively, you can use the TubeMogul website, which is free to use.

This allows you to submit your video articles to a handful of video directories automatically. Once you have produced some videos and are established on their site you can increase the number of video directories.

Once the videos are approved (and some sites will turn them down) you can then sit back and watch your videos spread all over the Internet. They will be picked up by websites and other directories that feed off these main sites, giving you more of an audience.

Set up a Google Alert for your video name and you will be surprised to see how far a single video will get you. So long as you have put your URL in the description and in the video itself, then you will get a good amount of traffic from this.

Video marketing is emerging as a very powerful and effective method of getting traffic. It is still underused and one that you can start to use to further boost your sites in the search engines.

How To Make An Effective Short Video Clip To Market Your Business Online

There are millions of short video clips on the web, either produced by professionals or amateurs for sharing through various video sharing sites such as YouTube and Google video. The amateurs publish their video clips for fun and entertainment. Whereas, the professionals produce and publish them in order to drive traffic to their web sites and sell more of their products or services. Internet marketing through video publishing is in booming trend recent years and it has become on of the online marketing vehicle to drive traffic to websites.

Besides the article marketing, video marketing is another online marketing technique that can drive tons of traffic at low cost. In fact, many of video sharing sites allow you to publish your video clips for free. Hence, you should not ignore this effective marketing technique, instead you should learn how to take advantage of this video opportunity for the sake of your own marketing objectives and goals to drive internet traffic to your website. Here are some notes on how to use short video clips to promote your business online:

1. Video clips should be short & focus

Internet is full of information and most internet users have not enough time to scan and read all, they will selectively choose the one that most likely is what they are looking for and visit the website. Hence your video clip should be short, about 2-3 minutes and straight to the points to keep the internet surfers’ interest.

2. An Attractive Visual Scheme

Colour scheme, background, motion graphic and font are important elements that can crease sense of both continuity and corporate identity. You video clip should project a constent image of your company, products or services.

3. Soundtrack is everything

Effective video clip that draw attention combines vision and sound effects for a perfect synergy. Add in sound with narrators that stress on keywords and graphics to delivery your marketing message to your visitors. A good control of narrators with slogans and buzzwords will help to increase the emotional feel on your visitors and keep your visitors interest to your products/services.

4. Ensure Your Video Clips Are Internet Friendly

If your video clip takes long time to load, you probably will lose the interest of your visitors. Most video files are in AVI format which normally have larger file size and will take long time to load. Hence, you should convert it to a format that has small in file size and a short long time; the common internet friendly format is Flash format.

5. Get Your Video Clips Distributed On Internet

If you website is new or have low PR, most probably internet surfers won’t find your website from the search engines. If you just publish your video clip at your own website, it will not drive any internet traffic to you. The more people watch your video clips, the more traffic will be flow in to you website. Hence, get your video clips distributed across the internet by submitting them to as many video sharing sites as possible. Publishers, blogs and other websites may download your video clips and republish them to websites; you will get more exposure and redirect more internet traffic to your website.

How To Effectively Market With Video On The Web

Online video publishing has indeed taken the Internet by storm in recent years, making the use of video for marketing, promotion, news and PR online a true key strategic component and a key business differentiator for internet marketers who want to communicate effectively about their product profile and benefits within the shortest possible of time.

Internet is full of information and the average attention span of a web user today is measured in seconds. When web users search for their information at a search engine, they will get thousands of search results; when they visit your website, they may only spend a few seconds and little efforts to scan through what you are selling or proposing and decide whether your content, style, look and approach are a good fit for what they were actually looking for. These first few seconds are crucial and if you can delivery clear and targeted message by offering a fast, highly visual way to get their further attention and engage their interest, you have done bingo.

Does this mean that you just need to simply put up 10-min video tutorial on your website or just slamming some video contents up on your web pages, you will instantly sell more products or services? If this is your way of marketing with video on the web and hoping to get high conversion rate of traffic-to-sales, you will more toward getting disappointments than good news.

In order to make your video to effectively market your products/services online and convey your product/service key traits and characteristics within a very short amount of time in a unique, memorable way. These are a few rules of thumb to follow:

1. Get Your Video Seen

If you want your video to be your effective marketing tool, it must be able to see by as many web users as possible. Hence, don’t just keep and tight your video inside your web site borders. Let your video content be free and distributed to the majors video sharing websites such as YouTube and Google video so that not only others can watch and talk about it, but they can easily download it, redistribute it, if not even publish it directly on their own sites.

2. Small File & Load Fast

Statistics show that average web users spend their time waiting for a page to load is about 7 seconds. Web pages that take longer than 7 seconds to load, their visitors normally are on the verge of clicking away and visit other website. Hence, you need to make sure your video file is small enough, ideally less than 1 megabyte and load almost in real time to keep the interest your visitors. AVI is the most common video format, the file size can easily exist 10 megabytes for a short 2-3 minutes video; hence if you share your video in this format, you most probably will get "click away" from you visitors because of long loading time of your video file. Hence, you must get a video format conversion tool to convert your video to a more internet friendly format such as SWF format.

3. Let Them Know It’s A Video, A Short Video

If the web users do not know that it is a video, they won’t click it and play it; hence your video will get watch. So, you must let the web users know that the "box" is a video; the best way is to make it look like a video / VCR-like by having a play and stop button where the web users can click to play the video and stop it whenever they want to stop it.

Let the web users know also this is a short video. No one wants to sit through a 30 minute presentation on the history of your company; be focused on your products/services and deliver your messages preferable within 2 minutes.

Why Do I Need Video And Or Audio On My Website

Bottom Line: If your website and emails are silent, you’re leaving money on the table! Its that simple.

More and more online marketers and business owners are seeing the light and recognizing the tremendous benefits of incorporating multimedia into their online marketing strategy. It’s a proven fact that multimedia more easily and effectively captivates your audience and grab’s the attention of your prospects, visitors, subscribers and customers. Time and time again research has shown that using multimedia in the form of video and/or audio advertisements increases conversation rates, buy rates as well as subscription rates for a product or service.

If studies consistently show the advantage of incorporating multimedia into your online marketing campaign, then those who have not yet added multimedia to their advertising need to seriously rethink and reinvent their marketing strategy.

“As traditional banner ads continue to decline in their effectiveness…leading companies..[will turn] to streaming media to juice up their online advertising. These initial trials are just the beginning of what industry experts believe will be a huge market…Streaming media has a 70% response rate for content, a 60% response rate for advertising information, and a 49% “buy” rate for online merchandise. (Source: Hostcentric Streaming Media: Industry Outlook).”

When you look at the above statistics put together by leading authorities, can you really afford not to jump at the chance to use Multimedia as an advertising strategy?

Look at it this way, without Video and/or Audio your site appears static to the visitor and after seeing hundreds of these types of sites, your customer becomes desensitized which is why sales conversion rates have systematically dropped over the last couple of years all over the Internet.

Savvy Internet Marketers know this and have already seen the light. You’ll notice that many of these “Gurus” are lending voice to their sales copy in an effort to increase their conversion rate and many have incorporated video into their marketing. In essence, they are re-inventing themselves, recognizing the tremendous power and benefits inherent in multimedia and using it to captivate their intended audience and to convert prospects into subscribers and customers.

Think about it…you can convince your prospect to buy your product or service or subscribe to your ezine or newsletter much more easily with a 3 minute video as opposed to a long winded sales page that doesn’t convey your passion for your product, service or publication. The human voice has the power to influence, motivate, and persuade prospects to take action with much less resistence and reluctance.

These days there are scams all over the Internet and as a result people are very skeptical of many sites and ultimately the “online” business owners behind these websites. By using multimedia in the form of video and audio messages, you leave visitors with the impression that you are a “real” business and someone they CAN trust.

By using multimedia, you can also communicate better with people, specifically prospective customers, allowing you to get your point across much easier which all leads to one end result- MORE SALES!

There are many others benefits to speak of which include the following:

1. Explain selling-points much more easily and clearly to captivate your potential buyer.

2. Describe your product or service and the benefits of using it clearly and concisely.

3. Video and Audio conveys PROFESSIONALISM and most importantly it provides you with something that is essential in any business- CREDIBILITY. With credibility, you can sell more of your product or service, build that sacred opt-in list much more quickly and convince visitors to click on a link to an affiliate program you are advertising.

Therefore, as an increasing number of online business owners and marketers recognize the competitive advantages of multimedia and its power as a communication vehicle, multimedia content will become an integral part of the web experience.

Again, the question asked is “Why do I need Video and Audio on my Website?”

The simple answer: Multimedia is quickly becoming a necessity to the sustainability and future of online businesses. Very soon, all online business owners and marketers without exception will need to incorporate multimedia into their marketing strategies to maintain the continued existence of their online presence.
